Shocking pictures of a middle-aged man getting killed by a high tension pole at Aboabo in the Ashanti region has surfaced in the media.
It remains unsure how the middle-aged man got on top of the 33,000 high-volt tension pole, as residents at the area say they woke up in the morning only to find his lifeless body up there.
Police officials including workers from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have been deployed to retrieve the lifeless body from the pole as speculations have it that he could be stealing electricity cables.
Police say the crime scene has been disturbed by the number of people trooping there but they will be conducting a search of the body to establish the connection to allegations of stealing.
Cases of electricity cables being stolen by unidentified personnel remains a huge challenge for government as reports show that government loses in excess millions of dollars in the wake of this worrying trend.
