In a report by MynewsGH.com, the lawmaker stated that NPP members need to tread cautiously, as Amidu’s appointment could spell doom for some of them.
He further explained that the choice of Amidu could affect the party chances in future elections if care isn’t taken.
“Celebrate Martin Amidu, he will soon come after the very party that appointed him. Martin Amidu is like Circuit Training based on Animal Flow Workouts.
You train the animal and one day, one day it will attack and kill its owner. That is what will happen,” he stated on Adom TV.
He went on to say that Amidu, who was appointed as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice by the late Atta-Mills-led government, became a source of disappointment to the then president, and in that respect, he (Agyapong) would pass no further comments on the new appointment as SP.
Martin Amidu was selected by President Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor. His nomination is however subject to approval by Parliament.
