University of Ghana announces the opening of the applications for admission of qualified applicants taking various of the undergraduate programs for the 2017/2018 academic year.
The University of Ghana Undergraduate forms 2017 are already out and accessible to the general public. University of Ghana 2017 admission applicants must possess the general entry requirements which include least credits (A1 – C6 in WASSCE and A – D in SSCE) in English, for applicants applying for sciences they must have Core Mathematics and Integrated Science.
Social studies are required for non-Science applicants. Applicants for Science or Agriculture related disciplines require three elective subjects in Science. Applicants for non-Science related courses are required to have at least three elective subjects in General Art or Business. The total aggregate should not exceed 24. Also non-Science applicants should have at least a grade C6 in WASSCE/D in SSSCE in Integrated Science or Core Science. The Science applicants for University of Ghana admission should have at least grade C6 in WASSCE/D in SSSCE in Social Studies and Life skills.

For International admission, University of Ghana 2017 admission also invites students from across Ghana, Africa and throughout the world. They have a conducive environment for representing the diverse cultures, social perspectives and backgrounds of all of its students. This is done through the Office of International Programs, where international students are admitted directly to the University and also through exchange programs.
University of Ghana Admissions Forms
The University of Ghana released all the admission forms for academic year 2017/2018 for all programs. This includes admission forms for Undergraduate, Law, Postgraduate, Distance Education, Sandwich and International students.
Undergraduate admission applicants are urged to take their first bachelor’s degree in their area of interest from over the 40 departments offered at the university. All applicants are required to read and understand all the relevant information relating to their admission and the set guidelines. Before admission, the applicants are expected to have collected a free copy of the University of Ghana prospectus from any bank when ordering the e-voucher.
For all the qualified applicants to the Bachelor’s degree on the Legon campus who were not able to meet the threshold of the cut-off points which is set by the Admission board for different programs are urged to pay the fees. The option for the applicants willing to take on the fee-paying scheme are required to indicate it on the application form.
The University of Ghana also has room for part-time studies for applicants who are working or engaged in other activities. All of the applicants for part-time studies are urged to specify their mode of study on the application form. All applicants will be considered on the basis of result as prescribed by the National Council for Tertiary Education.
The University of Ghana also like to invite mature applicants aged 25 years and above to apply. These applicants are required to write and pass an entrance exam that shall be conducted by The University of Ghana. These applicants in the category are expected to take a preparatory course orchestrated by the School of Continuing and Distance Education. Only applicants who underwent the preparatory course will be eligible to take the entrance examination. Upon passing the entrance exam, they will be eligible to purchase the e-vouchers and later theapplication forms online.
