- He also stated that he would not be distracted by such rumours, but would remain focused on his career
The captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan, has refuted allegations that he makes use of spiritual powers on his colleague footballers.

In a report by Ghanacelebrities.com, Gyan, also known as Baby Jet, asserted that he would only resort to the use of spiritual powers if he wishes to be challenge a footballer who is either at his level or is better than he is.
The Black Stars’ captain further noted that other footballers need to critically examine the reason why they are unable to perform at their best level.
”A player will say he is not progressing because his teammate cast a spell or used Juju (black magic) [on him]. But that player should ask himself if he has more qualities than whoever he is [accusing],” he was quoted as saying.
He went on to say that someone would only resort to the use of black magic on another is there is a difference in the levels of progress.
Baby Jet again stated that he won’t be distracted by the accusations, but would remain focused. “You cannot distract me and you cannot destroy the job God has given me to do”, he added.
According to him, he has always remained mentally strong, and is was evidenced on the day he lost his mother, but scored two goals in a football match.
