Last Saturday night witnessed the fight between Ghana’s own Emmanuel Tagoe, also known as Game Boy and his Argentine counterpart Fernando David Saucedo.
‘Game Boy’ was indeed on top of his game after he beat is contender and won the match.
By so doing, Emmanuel Tagoe defended his IBO Lightweight Belt by stopping Saucedo in the tenth round.
After the fight had ended, the two boxers were interviewed so thy could share their opinions on the fight.
In the course of Tagoe’s interview, he also mentioned the names of some dignitaries and celebrities who Tagoe said helped him in diverse ways to get to where he is now.
The boxer mentioned the name of Zylofon Media boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, Accra Mayor, Shatta Wale and many others.
He then started showering praises on the dancehall king, calling him his father and “big boss”, in the Ga language.
Emmanuel Tagoe said: “Just as everyone in Ghana knows that when it comes to music my father Shatta Wale is unbeatable, the same way when it comes to boxing, I am also unbeatable.”
Just then Wale, who had stormed the Bukom Boxing Arena to witness the fight, got to where the boxer was being interviewed and started spraying him with GHC50 notes.
Those around quickly started picking up the notes as Shatta sprays them.
Surprisingly, Emmanuel Tagoe, obviusly scared that the money would all be gone by the time he finishes with the interview, stopped speaking and asked Shatta to hand over the remaning notes to him.
This Shatta Wale did surprisingly, Tagoe opened his boxer shot and pushed the cash in there.
Shatta Wale has said he is the richest musician in Ghana.
He is reported to charge between GHC150,000 and GHC200,000 to perform at a show.
