Tammy Sisters, a music duo made up of two identical twin sisters are presently warming their way into the hearts of Ghanaian gospel music lovers.
Named Abigail Nyarkoh Nketia and Rebecca Nyarkoh Nketia, the duo have released their debut single titled ‘Mo k) Aseda a’, which literally means ‘Thankful or Gratitude’.
In an exclusive interview with YEN.com.gh, the multi- talented identical twin singers disclosed that at a point in their life, they received doom prophecies detailing how the two of them were going to die.
According to the younger of the twins, Rebecca Nketia, the prophecies indicated that they were not marked for survival when they attain a particular age in their lives, but rather they had been marked for death.
Scared by the gloomy prophecies, Abigail and Rebecca said they virtually run to a prayer camp operated by their church, Christ Apostolic Church.
There, they were prayed for and delivered from the doom prophecy that hitherto hovered around them.
It was after their ‘deliverance’ that they composed ‘Mo kɔ Aseda a’, to show their deep gratitude to God for delivering them from the pit of death and keeping them alive.
According to the multi-talented twin sisters, this particular song is so dear to their hearts.
Aside music, the identical twin sisters are also career women.
Abigail also known as Tammy Senior is a certified midwife by profession, while her half twin sister Rebecca is a staff nurse.
The Tammy Sister hinted that they are currently working on three other powerful gospel songs due release soon.
The songs are: "Kae wo mobrohu", "Mensuro" and "Sɔre".
