- Music artiste, Koo Ntakra, has called on radio and television stations to focus more on upcoming musicians
- He stated the rising musicians would take charge as soon as artistes such as Sarkodie and Shatta Wale are no longer active in the industry
Rising Ghanaian music artiste, Koo Ntakra, has called on radio and television stations in the country to focus more on upcoming artistes, YEN.com.gh has gathered.
In an interview with Eddy Blay on eTV’s “The Late Night Celebrity Show”, Koo Ntakra stated that unlike others who just make noise, upcoming artistes have meaningful lyrics in their songs.
He further argued that the upcoming artistes would replace the likes of Sarkodie and Shatta Wale when they retire from the music industry and in that respect, there would be a vacuum if appropriate measures are not put in place.
Koo Ntakra, who won the Season Two of the MTN Hitmaker, further stated that there is the need for a law to ensure that the upcoming artistes receive the necessary support from the media organizations.
YEN.com.gh also gathered that prior to winning the competition, he was usually given a bottle of Coca Cola as a reward for his performance at weddings and parties.
Over the years, Koo Ntakra has entertained Ghanaians with popular songs such as ‘wurawurafuo’, ‘move back’ and 3suro.
