National Security reveals date of Vice President's return

- The National Security has revealed that Vice President Bawumia will be back in Ghana by the end of the week

- They discolsed Vice President Bawumia's medical leave went as well as expected

- Vice President Bawumia has been in the UK since January 19th, 2017

Ghana's National Security Minister, Mr. Brian Acheampong, has stated that the Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is expected to return to Ghanaian shores by the end of this week at the latest, has gathered.

Speaking in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah on Kasapa FM's SiMiSo radio show, the Minister of State in-charge-of National Security stated that the Vice President's trip to the United Kingdom in order to receive treatment and rest has gone well as expected, and announced that he should be back soon.

He’s not in the hospital as some have speculated. He’s doing very well with his wife and I’m assuring you that by close of Friday, God willing Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will be in Ghana for us all to see how he’s doing.” He said.

The decision to fly Vice President Dr. Bawumia to the United Kingdom for medical treatment and rest has been met with mixed reactions from Ghanaians.

While some have stated his health is paramount therefore necessitating his trip to the UK, others still have criticized government for not opting for one of the many medical facilities in the country.

Since the publication of a video and several photos showing a healthy Vice President with the Second Lady on the streets of London, some have expressed doubt over the authenticity of the photos.
