Multiple awarding-winning dancehall act, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known in the world of showbiz as Shatta Wale, has thrilled many of his fans at the Zylofon Media office in Accra after his signing.
The “Taking Over” hitmaker held the fort on the office premises of his new boss and treated his fans with many of his hit songs.
In marking the mammoth signing of the self-proclaimed dancehall king of Ghana, many fans and followers of the musician trooped to the East Legon office of the Zylofon Media company, just to see their ‘champion’ on show.
Shatta Wale took to the stage and as usual gave the fans what they had been waiting for all morning.
Earlier videos saw huge police presence at the office of the entertainment giants just to control the growing crowd that was forming outside the gates.
Shatta Wale, who appeared with a convoy and clad in a suit, went into the office of Zylofon Media amidst cheers and came out later to perform for his fans.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the “Ayoo” hitmaker put pen to paper after agreeing to a $1.5 million signing-on fee.
Aside the cash, it is reported that a brand new car and a house will also be handed over to the musician as part of the package.
Shatta Wale now joins the ranks of Stonebwoy, Becca and Kumi Guitar as signees of Zylofon Media
Shatta Wale started off the year on a somewhat positive note with a lot of social media posts that suggested that he had taken it upon himself to proselytize the word of God with his posts.
On New Year’s Eve, he wished Sarkodie, Samini and Stonebwoy the best of the New Year.
Not long after the year started, there were some reports that he had thrown out longtime girlfriend, Shatta Michy from his house for cheating. Later, it was found out to be a publicity stunt.
Last year, Shatta Wale caused a social media storm between himself and some Nigerians when he made comments in an interview, indicating that he did not consider Wizkid to be a superstar.
