- Zylofon Media has refused claims that they have released details of Shatta Wale's contract to the public
- The Company is denying reports that it offered the artiste, $1.5m, a Rolls Royce and a mansion as a fee
The Head of Communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah has refused to confirm rumors that danchehall artiste Shatta Wale was given $1.5million, a brand new Rolls Royce vehicle and a heavy mansion as part of his signing fee.
According to Samuel Baah, Zylofon has not put out details of Shatta Wale’s contract anywhere, therefore such information should be disregarded.
Speaking to Joy News in Accra, the Communications Director insisted that Wale’s three-year contract included a non-disclosure clause which prevents both parties from releasing details of the deal.
"I can tell you that two parties have agreed that whatever that was agreed in the contract remains there. The rumors you heard did not come from us. Zylofon media agrees with the terms Shatta Wale brought on board as well as Shatta Wale agrees to the terms Zylofon Media brought on board," Mr Baah said.
Although both parties have agreed to the confidentiality clause of the deal, Shatta Wale's remarks after the announcement is a clear indication that the contract is juicy enough to tame the controversial musician.
The self-acclaimed dancehall King in an interview shortly after the signing ceremony, stressed that he will prove his critics wrong over his public outburst and utterances.
The famous dancehall artiste was on Wednesday unveiled as the latest signee of the Zylofon Music label at a historic ceremony in Accra.
Many Ghanaians including entertainment pundits have expressed mixed feelings over Shatta Wale’s new deal.
While some laud Zylofon Media over the juicy contract, others have also expressed worry over the artiste’s personality, claiming he cannot be guided against the record label’s policies.
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has served notice that he will obey all provisions listed in the contract.
The dancehall artiste now joins the likes of Stonebwoy, Becca, Joyce Blessing, Kumi Guitar and Obibinii on Zylofon Media label
