Information minister, Mustapha Hamid, says the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia sleeps for only three to four hours a day.
Mustapha Hamid reveals that the "workaholic" vice president has been busy with severe duties of fixing the economy and making Ghana a better place.The vice president recently returned to Ghana after spending twelve days in London on medical leave. This was after he fell ill while embarking on his normal duties.
Speaking to the media during the arrival of the vice president at the Kotoko International Airport (KIA), the information minister revealed that the vice president has been urged to "slow down".
“We know that he’s a workaholic; he’s been working so hard. This is a man who sleeps just about three or four hours out of 24 hours, but we hope that this time in spite of the enormous work that has to be done, that he will be urged to slow down a bit and take a rest,” the minister revealed.
The medical leave by the vice president raised so much controversy as the minority in parliament are calling for the government to reveal the medical reports of all high-level officials as the president and his vice.
Meanwhile, the vice president, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has made his first public statement since his return to Ghana. Addressing a congregation after the Friday prayers at the Central Mosque at Abbosey Okai in Accra, the vice president stated that "good health is better than riches".
