Hilarious video of man's reaction to Dome market fire goes viral

There was a fire incident at the Dome Market in Accra, last Wednesday. The fire destroyed some shops few shops before fire fighters arrived at the scene.

However, a man who claims have been the first person to have seen the fire, has caused a stir on social media.

In an animated explanation of how the fire occurred, the young man blamed the extent of the damage on the Ghana Police Service.

According to him, he called 919 after hearing the an explosion to inform the police, but instead of redirecting his message, they operator rather told him to hold and take the number of the Fire Service.

And it took over one hour before a response team from the Fire Service arrived by which time a lot of the damage had already been done.

"In Ghana [only] God can protect you", he said in obvious abhorrence of the emergency resosne services.

As basic as his complains may be, the way and manner he went about it was hilarious and a video of his interview with Joy News has gone viral.

The video uploaded on Thursday February 1, had amassed over 240 thousand views, over five thousand shares and loads of comments and reactions as at the time of this report.

And social media could not help but react in an equally hilarious manner.

One Facebook user wanted a TV show featuring the guy

But this one though disagreed and even thought all was not well with the interviewee

And there were some who were more concerned of the substance of the message than how it was delivered.
