Police uncover human skull in secret shrine at Amasaman

Police officials have uncovered a hiding place for criminals at Akatapo near Amasaman in Accra.

In this secret place, police officials arrested four criminals who were in the process of engaging in ritual practices before embarking on their criminal activities.

The names of the men arrested are Wortanu Selase, 19, Kwame Gbedze, 20, Anane Dunyo, 39, and Lawson Yaw, 52.

During the scoop, police officials were able to discover human head in a black polythene bag which had been placed on one of the idols at the shrine.

Public relations officer of the Accra police command, ASP) Mrs Efia Tenge says the human skull was at the decomposition stage. A telephone number written on a piece of paper and tied around it was also discovered.

Meanwhile, the fetish priest who owns the shrine is currently on the run as various claims about him duping several people increases.

“Even though the four men were found in the shrine, we are yet to find out if they were those who brought the head to the shrine for ritual purpose or not,” she stated.

Meanwhile, police officials are mounting an intense investigation in the criminal records of all four criminals
