Veteran Ghanaian actress, Grace Omaboe, widely known has ‘Maame Dokonoo’, is cautioning young women to assume their rightful positions as wives at home, so they don't ruin their marriages.
According to Maame Dokono, young married women who refuse to cook for their husbands at home risk losing their marriages.
Speaking to Accra-based TV3, the veteran actress advised young women to cook for their husbands and children at home, in order to sustain their marriages.
“Listen to me, if you think that your man loves you so much and you won’t cook for your husband then your marriage won’t last. You have to cook for your husband and children, and you’ve got to take good care of your home as well,” Maame Dokono advised.
The popular actress in her interaction told young ladies that cooking is not slavery as being advocated by some feminists in their bid to seek gender equality.
The experienced actress added that women ought to adopt smart means of striking balance between careers as well as managing their homes.
”If you are a woman, and you feel you won’t cook for your husband and he will still love you then you are playing,” she said.
The actress therefore urged married partners to contribute their quota towards the success of their union.
