-Reports have it that Kuami Eugene's latest single was copied from an international artiste
-Some people have expressed their disappointment over the matter
Highlife musician, Kuami Eugene has been accused of copying the song of an international artiste which he used to create his latest song, “Confusion.".
According to a report sighted on Ameyawdebrah.com, the “Angela” hitmaker is reported to have ‘plagiarized’ the song from a Malian artiste who was nominated for the Grammys.
According to the entertainment website, Kuami Eugene’s “Confusion” which featured Priscilla Opoku Agyeman in the music video was culled from a 2016 hit song of Sidiki Diabate titled, “Fais moi Confiance”, which means ‘trust me’ in English.
Kuami Eugene’s song, after its release just about a week ago has already garnered over 300,000 views on YouTube alone.
However, the reports about the song being a duplicate has sort of marred the beauty of the song.
Some entertainment pundits including Kelly Nii Lartey Mensa of ShowbizPundits.com took to his Facebook page to express his disappointment over the issue.
He said, “Kuami Eugene, honestly I’m disappointed. How can you copy somebody’s song 100% …are you taking your fans for granted? I’m not happy at all. Very unfortunate.”
