It goes without saying that Sarkodie and Shatta Wale are among the best musicians in Ghana and beyond. Sarkodie's songs and Shatta Wale's songs have had many people inspired and also respect their creativity. Their great performances have become a source of entertainment for many people.
In fact, they have taken the music industry by storm. At least with Sarkodie's hit songs and Shatta wale's popular songs; the Ghanaian entertainment industry is no longer boring. We no longer have to hear the same monotonous tunes anymore.
However, once a person becomes popular, they receive a lot of criticism from the public. Sometimes, this criticism is positive while some of it is meant to create a bad reputation for them. Such is the case with Sarkodie and Shatta Wale. Despite producing hit song after hit song, Koo Ntakra, a Ghanaian rapper wants songs by Sarkodie and Shatta Wale best songs banned.
He informed the public that he thinks its best that the media supports upcoming talents. He said that the televisions and radio stations should do away with all Sarkodie and Shatta Wale's songs and concentrate on the ones done by upcoming artists. He further asserted that the upcoming musicians have meaningful lyrics and they will lead the entertainment industry once Sarkodie and other music stars are long gone.

Due to the love that fans have for Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, Koo Ntakra’s comments attracted a lot of criticism from the public. You don’t say such in public knowing very well that Shatta Wale and Sarkodie are the best there is in the entertainment industry.
When interviewed on Daybreak Hitz, Koo Ntakra denied the claims he stated earlier on and said that he only meant that upcoming artists should be given attention and not that the songs of Sarkodie and Shatta Wale should not be played. He continued to say that most of the upcoming artists lack the airplay and exposure of their music even when it is meaningful. Koo Ntakra later advised musicians to produce quality music that continues to create meaning for the audience. According to him, his music is of high quality and can stand the test of time.
Well, fans might have received Koo Ntakra comments wrongly. However, he should not have asserted that Sarkodie and Shatta Wale’s songs should not be played. He should have gone straight to the point and talked directly about the fate of upcoming artists.
We can only hope that Koo Ntakra produces hit songs. Otherwise, his remarks will be used against him in future.
