My marriage with Abrokwa was illegal – Afia Schwarzenegger
Controversial TV host, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, aka Afia Schwarzenegger, has disclosed that her marriage with her ex-husband, Lawrence Abrokwa was illegal.
According to Afia, her lawyers have brought the matter to her attention that the marriage certificate issued to her by the South African Home Affairs was ‘fake’ and had invalid dates.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM in Accra, the comedienne revealed that she did not pay much attention to the certificate until her lawyers made the discovery.

“I found out, with the help of my lawyers, that my marriage with Abrokwa was illegal. Our marriage certificate had wrong dates. We got married on October 22, 2016 but it stated it happened on November 1, 2016 which was very wrong,” Afia said in her interview.
She also insisted that although she could not tell if her ex-husband, Abrokwa was only after her money or meant serious business with her in the whole marriage.
“Let’s leave that to the court and God. I cannot say what is pending in court. It will be told in court on Tuesday,” Afia said when asked if she felt Abrokwa wanted to defraud her.

Their marriage became toast of the day, as lovely photos of the two went viral on various social media platforms.
However, barely 8 months into their marriage, Lawrence Abrokwa allegedly caught his wife in their matrimonial bed with another man.
Abrokwa who was tipped-off by their house maid recorded the incident and allegedly leaked the video for the whole world to see.
In the viral video, Afia Schwarzenegger was captured naked screaming and begging for her life from her husband, as she was being threatened with a bottle of ‘acid’ to confess her ‘sins’.
Meanwhile, Afia has since dragged her husband to court, claiming abuse of her right.
