-MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has threatened to beat former CID boss, Bright Oduro
-This follows an earlier warning from COP Oduro to the MP
-Mr Agyapong has hinted of cancelling a trip abroad in order to meet Mr Oduro and give him 'three dirty slaps'
Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to give former Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, COP Bright Oduro "three dirty slaps".
His threats follow reports of COP (rtd) Oduro storming Adom TV on Tuesday to demand a clip of of discussions on the station's Badwam morning show which featured Mr Agyapong and NDC's Allotey Jacobs.
The former CID boss, YEN.com.gh understands, claimed the MP had mentioned his name during the discussion and thus wanted the clip to verify.
But after realising that his name had not been mentioned, Mr Oduro reportedly mentioned that he would have unleashed his boys on Kennedy Agyapong if he had dared to called his name.
Reacting to the incident, the Assin Central MP vowed, on Oman FM's Boiling Point on Tuesday evening, to show Mr Oduro that he is no longer powerful as was the case in the past.
“Has he forgotten that he is no longer in uniform? He is not a man more than me. I will beat the hell out of that guy,” YEN.com.gh heard him threaten.
Mr Agyapong who disclosed that he was scheduled to go on a trip abroad next week, hinted of postponing his travel in order to meet COP Oduro and beat him.
“For me when I dream I dream about two things that is money and fight so he should be ready. I won’t travel anymore I will face that guy,” he said.
The former CID boss and the MP has been involved in what could described as dogfight for sometime now as Mr Agyapong waged a campaign against Mr Oduro, whom he describes as corrupt, during his tenure at the helm of the CID.
Barely 10 months into his tenure and just about three months to his retirement, COP Oduro was relieved of his position in October 2017 under some cloud.
Many have attributed his forced retirement to the campaign waged against him by the outspoken Mr Agyapong.
