In the first week of January 2018, Prophet Owusu Bempah and many other ‘men of God’ made many prophecies for the year.
Most of these prophecies were doom or negative full of tragedies to happen n Ghana.
Among other prophesies that more police officers and journalists were going to die in 2018, Owusu Bempah is also reported to have prophesized that a “great” musician would also die.
He however did not mention any names and this made the issue a topical one in the media for about a week.
But following the death of Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, some Ghanaians are beginning to buy into Owusu Bempah’s prophecy that that “great” musician was Ebony.
News of her death shook the nation in the wee hours of Friday, February 9, 2018.
Ebony, together with a friend, Franky Kuri, and her bodyguard were on board a Jeep with the registration number with registration AS 497—16 when the accident happened.
Their vehicle was reported to have collided head-on with a Brong-Ahafo bound VIP bus.
Ebony’s Jeep is reported to have somersaulted at Mankraso in the Ashanti Region.
She was twenty years and next week Friday would have been her 21st birthday.
Her manager Bullet has broken his silence on the death and according to him, he is in much pain and hopes “it is all a dream”.
Ebony’s father has also spoken on the sad incident, describing her late daughter as a “unique child he would miss forever”.
President Akufo-Addo and former President John Dramani Mahama have both paid emotional tribute to lovable Ebony.
Hit songs of Ebony such as “Sponsor”, “Kupe”, “Date Ur Fada”, “Maame Hw3” and others would always remind Ghanaians of Ebony Reigns.
