The management team of the late Ebony, a Ghanaian musician who lost her life on Thursday, February 8, 2018, have disclosed plans made for her before she lost her life.
According to Abeiku Santana, a member of the team, the career path of the late Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, better known as Ebony, was to be modeled after that of Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian musician.
He went on to say that she was also tipped to win the Hiplife Artiste of the year the next Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
In that respect, two top events were organized in a bid to increase her chances.
“Just one week, we did two events. One was the corporate launch at Golden Tulips on the 9th of December, then on the 11th of December we did another concert at West Hills Mall.
These were strategies that we had to put in place, in case her name comes up for Artiste of the year,” he stated.
“I remember negotiating with Daddy Lumba to do remix of Poison and we remember also talking to Shatta Wale to do a collaboration with her and we brought new artistes to feature Ebony on Maame Hwe.”, he added.
Speaking on Citi FM’s Eye Witness News, he added that the entire team is devastated about the untimely demise of the rising music artiste.
Ebony, along with a military officer, Lance Corporal Vondee and her childhood friend, Franklina Kuri lost their lives as they were returning to Accra from Sunyani in the Brong-Ahafo region.
The driver of the vehicle managed to survive, but is reportedly recuperating at an undisclosed location.
