-Zylofon Media boss, Nana Appiah Mensah, has claimed that Ebony reached out to him for a “bailout”
-He said Ebony wanted to part ways with her manager, Bullet, and needed Zylofon to pay Bullet off with an amount of $100,000
-Bullet has responded to these allegations, describing it as an insult to him and Ebony’s brand
Since the untimely death of Ebony Reigns, tongues have been wagging with a lot of people making so many claims.
Some of the claims, though, cannot be substantiated because the best person to either confirm or deny them is no more.
One of such claims or allegations have been made by the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah via a tweet, after the news of Ebony's death emerged.
According to him, Ebony had reached out to him with a request to 'bail her out'.
His tweet was interpreted to mean that Ebony wanted to stab her manager, Bullet, in the back by going behind him to strike a deal with Zylofon Media.
The amount involved in the supposed bailout deal has been mentioned as $100,000; an amount quoted by Bullet in an earlier interview as the seed money he invested in Ebony at the start of her career.
But speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, Bullet has described Nana Appiah’s claim as ridiculous.
According to Bullet, claims that a “cheap” sum of $100,000 was needed to get Ebony off his record label – Ruff Town Records and Midas Touch Inc. is very insulting to him and Ebony’s brand.
According to a Mynewsgh.com report, Bullet said, “Can $100,000 feed me,$100,000 for Ebony, is she that cheap… is $100,000 money? How much is $100,000?… What do they mean by bailout?”
Bullet, who had earlier threatened to bring Ebony down should she ever make the mistake of leaving him, added that it wouldn’t have been an issue for him to part ways peacefully with Ebony without any charge if she had requested.
“But to quantify her brand and her whole effort at $100,000 was an insult to Ebony’s brand and to the investment we made into our golden Queen, Ebony,” Bullet said forcefully.
He added that even “deals we signed with Kasapreko was far more than $200,000 and we were in talks with Akon to sign Ebony for a huge sum. What is $100,000?”
Bullet further asked Ghanaians to stop judging Ebony because “in God’s eyes, she might be holier than many of you.”
Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a gory accident last Thursday with two others.
Her family members are currently making arrangements for her burial.
