Aburi car accident: two injured, one dead

It has been reported to the local police at Aburi in the Eastern Region that a Nissan Amera public taxi with the registration number of GR 4069-12 crashed with a Toyota Corolla that does not even have a registration number. Three little kids were crashed in this horrible accident.

Who were those victims?

The victims are minors and aged between 3 to 5. The kids who were identified by the police are Ransford Baah aged 5, Richmond Amoako Okine 4 and Okata Now 3 who has been confirmed as dead till now while the other two were seriously injured and were admitted in Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital and they are being treated there.

How did the accident happen?

The Toyota Corolla card without registration number crashed the Nissan Almera public taxi while travelling to Accra from Koforidua.

In this context, the PR officer of Eastern Regional Police Command ASP Ebenezer Tetteh has officially reported to media that the accident occurred on Thursday at near about 05:10 pm. The driver of Toyota Corolla was travelling from Koforidua to Accra and on his way at Aburi 'Y' junction, he veered off the correct lane to an offside lane and crushed onto the Nissan Almera taxi which was coming behind with the registration number GR4069-12.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 24 years old man identified as Mendy Agyekum Boateng has been surrendered to the Police and he is under arrest. The Toyota car has been impounded by the Police.
