Asamoah Gyan blasts Ghanaians over the untimely and unfortunate death of Ebony

Captain of the senior National football team and international footballer, Asamoah Gyan, popularly known as “Baby Jet” has taken a swipe at some Ghanaians in the aftermath of the death of Priscilla Opoku-Kwateng.

Speaking in a self-recorded video, the footballer who doubles as a businessman bemoaned how some Ghanaians were celebrating the “Kupe” song-maker by playing her songs everywhere now that she was dead.

The Black Stars captain urged Ghanaians to change their mentality and try to appreciate the celebrities while they are alive and stop criticizing them.

He called for support for celebrities instead of the reporting bad news and always criticizing them in the media.

Asamoah quizzed whether people preferred to celebrate the dead instead of the living.

The Ghanaian international footballer in mourning Ebony, shared a photo of the “Date Ur Fada” hitmaker on his Instagram account and captioned it, “Rest In Peace @ebony_reigns. Hmmmmm life.”

Many statesmen, celebrities and the general public alike have celebrated the “Poison” hitmaker and said many good things about her after her untimely demise.

However, while she was living, she had a number of critics who lambasted her for her lyrics, style of dressing and stagecraft.

Ebony was returning from Sunyani after visiting her mother when she was involved in the car accident.

The musician died alongside her childhood friend, Franklina Kuri and an air force official, Francis Atsu Vondee.

Ebony, born February 16, 1997, was a dancehall artiste widely known for her hit songs "Poison" and "Kupe".

She was discovered by Bullet, a member of Ruff n Smooth fame.
