Ebony's mum celebrates her birthday today

-Today marks the birthday of Madam Beatrice Oppong, mother of late dancehall act, Ebony

-She was celebrated by many social media users who consoled her over the loss of her daughter

-Ebony was involved in a car accident while she was returning to Accra after visiting her mum in Sunyani

As many people around the world including Ghanaians celebrate World Chocolate day also known as Valentine’s Day, mother of late Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng is also marking her birthday.

Madam Beatrice Oppong, mother of the late dancehall act Ebony, turned a year older today and she has received a lot of love and consolation from many social media users.

Many people commiserated with the mother of the “Date Ur Fada” singer over her loss and tried in their own small way to make her enjoy her day despite her grief.

A picture of the bereaved mother was posted on social media with many people wishing her well on the occasion of her birthday.

Ebony, born February 16, 1997, would have celebrated her birthday 21st birthday 2 days after her mum’s birthday.

After the demise of her daughter, a video of Madam Beatrice Oppong started going round on social media which showed the elderly woman break down in tears over her loss.

She was seen bargaining with God to bring her daughter back to her because she (Beatrice Oppong) had a covenant with God not to allow any of her family members to die prematurely.

Ebony died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road while returning to Accra from Sunyani. Her childhood friend and PA, Franky Kuri and one air force official, Francis Atsu Vondee, who posed as a bodyguard also died in the car crash.

The musician was preparing to fly out of the country for her first ever international tour but her life and career were cut short as a result of a fatal accident believed to have been caused by a heap of sand.
