Ghanaians debate whether John Mahama would win 2020 polls if he contested

- Ghanaians have commented on whether former president Mahama could win the 2020 polls

- Some social media users have urged the former president to wait for the 2024 polls instead

Following the hotly contested 2016 general elections that saw the the New Patriotic Party regain political power, a lot of Ghanaians have commented on the likely idea that former President Mahama will contest the 2020 polls.

Going further, many more Ghanaians wondered if former president Mahama is likely to win the 2020 polls should he contest it, especially considering the defeat the National Democratic Congress (NDC) suffered in 2016.
