Ghanaian comedienne and media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has disclosed that Lawrence Abrokwah sought to burn her house on three occasions.
In a report by Zionfelix.net, she added that though she purchased the building with her own income, he expressed his determination to set it on fire.
Speaking at the launch of the Leave2Live Foundation on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, which was also her birthday, Afia Schwarzenegger added that she endured a lot of pain at the hands of Abrokwah, with whom, she is currently engaged in divorce proceedings.
Afia Schwar, sharing her story as a victim of domestic violence, stated that she earlier hoped things could change, but unfortunately, the situation became worse as the days rolled by.
She therefore took the opportunity to advise women suffering in their marriages to walk away, as the situation would never change.
Afia Schwarzenegger‘s Leave2Live Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), established to campaign against domestic violence.
In the course of career in the media industry, Afia Schwar has had several stints as a radio host with notable radio stations in Ghana, including Happy FM and EIB network’s Kasapa FM.
She also hosted the Kokooko show on Despite Group’s UTV, before finally leaving to work with Angel TV, where she hosted an evening entertainment show.
