Not many complete school and are able to apply what they were though so well that other people would admire, especially not for Senior High School level.
But for one SHS leaver, applying what he learnt in school comes naturally without any special effort.
He is Samuel Ameleto, a past student of St. Andrews SHS, a private second-cycle at Assin-Foso in the Assin North Municipality of the Central Region.
After completing St. Andrews in 2013, Samuel, popularly known as Van Shady, went back to Twifo Praso, also in the Central Region.
Finding life tough, he set out to apply skill as an artist and he is now into portrait drawings in pencil and colours, paintings and interior designs.
In a chat with YEN.com.gh Samuel indicated, though his Visual Arts background for which he was awarded in school helps, he now relies more on his natural talent and self-tutoring.
Sammy also indicated that he would want to further his education but things are not too good financially hence his decision to do other things to survive.
Born some 22 years ago, he is the ninth child of his parents and his father died when he was just six years old.
"Life has not been easy since", he said, but he is bent on soldiering on.
"I want to be a great hyper realistic artist and I would like to train young talented children in drawing", he told YEN.com.gh.
Looking at his drawings, there is no doubt Sammy is talented and a little support would take him places.
