Corporal Vondee died in the same fatal accident that took the lives of Ghanaian dancehall artist Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, popularly known as Ebony Reigns, and Franklina Maame Yaa Tebua Nkansah.

The accident occurred on Thursday, February 8th, 2018, at around 11:45, at Nyamebekyere near Mankraso.

According to the Ghana Police Service's reconstruction of the events that led up to the accident, Ebony's vehicle, driven by her driver and friend, Chartey Oko Pinehad, came across a heap sand which was obstructing his path.

The driver, in attempt to miss the obstruction in his lane, swerved onto the oncoming lane and collided with an oncoming Kia Grand Bird bus, ricocheted, and plunged into the railing at the edge of the road killing Ebony and her two travelling companions.
