The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Slip Entertainment, Mark Okraku-Mantey, has opened up about his work as an Artiste Manager.
According to him, he has conducted business with top level entertainers such as Sarkodie, M.anifest, Obrafuor and Shatta Wale.
Zeroing in on Shatta Wale, one of Ghana’s leading dancehall artistes, the CEO stated that he has no grudge with him.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he noted that he pities the singer, as he (Shatta Wale) has no idea about what he does.
Therefore, he added, the dancehall artiste doesn’t understand the implications of his actions.
Okraku-Mantey, who is also the Interim President of the Creative Arts Council noted that Shatta Wale had earlier accused him of stealing his money.
He however defended himself by saying he isn’t perturbed by the accusations from the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker.
Okraku-Mantey noted that even though Shatta Wale might come across as an aggressive character, he believes that the singer only does that to maintain his brand as a dancehall act.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, known on stage as Shatta Wale, is one of Ghana's most popular dancehall artists.
His influence over his large fan base makes him one of Ghana’s highly favored celebrities.
In 2017, Shatta Wale won several international awards including the African Entertainment Awards (USA), where he picked the Best Dancehall Artiste award.
