In life, some situations stimulate expected reactions from people; others however deviate from the usual.
Ebony’s one-week observance took place on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the St. Martin de Porres School at Dansoman in Accra.
The event brought to light interesting actions from family, friends and well-wishers who thronged to the venue to be part of the solemn ceremony.

1. Thousands of Ghanaians gathered there including ministers and celebrities
The programme was attended by several people from all over the country. Photos taken by YEN showed a huge crowd that had come to pay its respects to the late music icon.
2. Shatta Wale was captured in a video shedding tears
Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, showed up at the venue and was seen placing his head on radio presenter, Abeiku Santana's shoulder. The "Ayoo" hitmaker could not hold back his tears as Abeiku spoke to the crowd.
3. Countryman Songo rushed on stage to grab her framed photo
In the course of the programme, sports presenter, Countryman Songo rushed to the stage. He briefly held on to a framed photograph of Ebony.
4. Dr. Lawrence Tetteh praised Shatta Wale for his passion
Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, an economist and international evangelist praised the level of passion Shatta Wale directs towards his work. He added that the dancehall artiste could become a good preacher.
5. Asamoah Gyan supported with cartons of water and the services of his music band
The captain of the Black Stars team, Asamoah Gyan, is reported to have donated some cartons of water. He also made the services of his music band (Asa Band) available for the programme.
