Ebony would have voted for me in the next elections – Ursula Owusu-Ekuful

- MP for Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has expressed sadness about the death of music artiste, Ebony

- According to her, the late musician would have voted for her in the next Parliamentary elections

- The MP said this at the memorial service held for Ebony held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the St. Martin de Porres School

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has stated that Ebony’s death has cost her a vote.

According to the MP, who is also the Minister of Communications, she is certain that Ebony would have voted for her in the next elections, if she were still alive.

Paying tribute to the late musician, the MP added that Ghana has lost a treasure, as Ebony was someone who was not fearful of expressing her individuality.

She went on to say that the music artiste was blessed with a talent she used to the glory of God, and therefore cared less about the opinions people had about her.

The MP therefore called on the members of her constituency to live their lives to the fullest potential rather than burying the talents given to them by God.

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful passed these comments when she spoke at the memorial service held for Ebony on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the St. Martin de Porres School at Dansoman.

The ceremony attracted thousands of people from all walks of life who had come to pay their respects to the musician.

Ebony lost her life on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in a vehicular accident on the Kumasi-Sunyani road, which claimed the lives of two others; Franky Kuri, her Personal Assistant and Francis Atsu Vondee, a military man.

She would be buried on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
