The Director-in-charge of Transport and Logistics at the Flagstaff House, Odeneho Nana Oppong, has stated that the popular Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, will be questioned by the Special Prosecutor over his possession of state vehicles.
According to Flagstaff House's Director-in-charge of Transport and Logistics, even though government has retrieved both vehicles John Dumelo had, he will still be questioned.
According to a report published on Pulse.com.gh, Odeneho Nana Oppong related that the Special Prosecutor will be given a list of names comprising of journalists and celebrities who allegedly illegally acquired state vehicles from the erstwhile Mahama administration.
Mr. Odeneho Nana Oppong, who was speaking on Accra-based NEAT FM, revealed that government had acquired enough evidence of how John Dumelo acquired the vehicles.
"We now have enough evidence of his illegal acquisition of the cars. John Dumelo together with other journalists will face the Special Prosecutor." Said Nana Oppong.
Following the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) loss at the 2016 polls, the then incoming NPP government mounted a nationwide search of state vehicles in the possession of former state officials.
In a revelation that shocked most Ghanaians, John Dumelo was later found to have gained possession of two state-owned vehicles.
