Ebony's bodyguard, Lance Corporal Francis Atsu Vondee, will be buried today [Friday], March 23.
The burial service will be held at Mafi Adidome in the Volta Region where he comes from.
Francis Vondee met his untimely death on Thursday, February 8, 2018, together with Ebony and Franky Kuri when the Jeep they were travelling in, slammed into an oncoming ‘VIP’ bus on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway.
There were reports that his body had been detained to serve a sentence after a court-martial after his demise, but the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) refuted these reports.
Another contentious issue that came up was the fact the bodyguard was not known to Ebony's management, Ruff Town Records.
But these claims were shot down by Ebony's father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, who said he knew Vondee as the body of his daughter.
In all the mix-up, the one thing that was clear was the fact that Lance Corporal Vondee was a very vibrant soldier.
From singing praises in church, leading 'jama' sessions and keeping a rigorous fitness [body building] regime, he did it all.
Francis is a former student of Sogakofe Senior High School which he completed in 2008.
The 29-year-old was the twin brother of a beautiful girl called Francisca Atsupe Vondeee.
Indeed, everything shows Francis was a brave soldier and Ghana has really lost an 'action man'.
