YEN.com.gh can confirm that the renowned Pastor Billy Graham has died aged 99. Most of us know him as the pastor with that strong voice who preached Christ through our screens.
Billy Graham shook the foundation of Christianity in Ghana when he organized a massive convention in 1960.
Graham became one of the best-known promoters of Christianity, preaching to audiences worldwide in large arenas, beginning in London in 1954.
Here in Ghana, the preacher has been admired and loved by many including general overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), Mensa Otabil who has revealed that his main mentor in the calling of evangelism is Billy Graham.
Over 60 years, he is estimated to have personally preached to 210 million people. At first skeptical of the civil rights movement in the US, he went on to become a supporter in the 1950s.
