- Autopsy report of JB Danquah has been released
- The pathologist has been pressured to release the report for over 2 years now
- The autopsy report will help with investigations
The autopsy report on a deceased member of parliament for Abuakwa North, J.B Danquah Adu, has finally been released.
The pathologist who presented the report, Dr Lawrence Edusei, had been pressured to release the report years after the murder of the parliamentarian in 2016.
Confirming the release at an Accra District Court, presiding judge, Gloria Laryea, revealed that the report has been placed at the court's registry and also on the case docket. What this means is that the autopsy report will now be forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for investigations to begin.
Meanwhile, a case is being made for the pathologist to appear before the court so as to help with the case.
“The Doctor should have been in court today. If you are the President of Ghana and you are subpoenaed you have to appear in court. He is not in court. This is gross disrespect to the court,” Nana Obiri Boahene said.
J.B Danquah, the NPP MP, was killed by unknown men in his apartment at Shiashie in Accra in 2016.
His murder started at about midnight when armed men called, Asiedu and Bosso, who wielded a catapult, a cutter, and a knife, went to the legislator’s house.
The funeral for the legislator was held in a massive mode with leaders from the rank and file of the NPP paid their last respects to the legislator.
