The self-proclaimed king of the dancehall in Ghana, Shatta Wale, has been the recent ‘message from the gods’. The very talented artist has found himself in the middle of a spiritual battle between prophets, each claiming to bear a vision about him. This ensued a few days after the demise of a dancehall sensation in Ghana, Ebony Reigns. Precious, a radio presenter, reportedly disclosed the prophecy by Prophet E.K Mensah, which was strongly objected by Jesus one Touch. However, the question remains Is Shatta Wale dead?
The battle between shatta wale and prophets, 2018, begun with a single prophecy from Prophet Mensah who went on record prophesying that the award-winning artist will not witness a new year. This prophecies spread over the internet very fast, reaching the star whose response was nothing short of a ‘star response.’ Shata went on record and dared the prophet, that if he lives beyond December 2018, contrary to the prophesy, then he will burn all churches in protest of all fake prophets. As if this is not all, his father wrote to the department of criminal investigation asking them to conduct an investigation on the ‘fake prophet’ who predicted the death of his son.
Shatta Wale songs have had a good market reception ever since his rise to stardom. His influence might be a threat to some people with a conflicting view of his style of art. It has been reported that pastor Jesus one Touch came out publicly to defend shatta, reassuring him that he will not be dead as earlier prophesized.
Shatta wale2017 ended on a good note, in spite of a few dramas by the Ghanaian dancehall sensation. 2018 however, promises a different gift package, as already witnessed with the early year prophecies. This, however, is not stopping shatta wale music from reaching its audience. In his defence, the self-proclaimed Ghanaian dancehall king was reportedly challenging the authority of the prophecy, claiming he will survive this year.
These are some of shatta wale latest drama reportedly, with the battle this time taking a new twist. Sometimes you are left to wonder, why do prophets get to interfere with showbiz when they have a lot to preach about. Shatta is very positive about his stand in life with rumours claiming that he is about to release a track about fake prophets. With the current trend, 2018 promises to be an interesting year for shatta wale and his shatta movement. Who wins between shatta and the prophets? Only time will tell.
