Former President Mahama, who was at the first position in 2016, dropped to the third position with a little over 2 million followers on both Facebook and Twitter.
One of the most influential men in the world and former UN secretary general, Kofi Annan, defied the odds to come second with 3 million followers on both Facebook and Twitter.
Other public figures who made it to the list were the first and second ladies who came 5th and 6th respectively.
Vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia came up fourth with a little over 1 million votes.
