The designers of the traffic lights, it can be inferred, sought to create a device that would regulate the movement of vehicles on roads in a country.
In that respect, these equipment have, with the help of the police, ensured that drivers respect the laws of the road as they move about in their vehicles.

What therefore happens when the traffic lights send the wrong signals?
Ghanaian media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has in a new video, reported of traffic lights, whose colours change in an irregular pattern.
The speed of change of the lights are a cause of worry, as drivers would have to resort to other means to guide their actions as they drive on the roads.
In the video, a number of vehicles are captured patiently waiting, as if to indicate their intention to exhibit patience till the traffic lights begin functioning again.
In addition to the video, she wrote: “I am a citizen not a spectator. #PoliticalPolice.”
Social media users expressed worry about this development.
@thinkmahogany wrote: ”Afia you eh! Genuinely caring and stands for the truth and what is right. I love that about you. And I love your crazy side too ”
@queenafiaschwar_fans added “Awww too bad, queen...we need to change our behaviour as Ghanaians.”
@ serfakor_bronze also noted that “Disco lights too are present”, but @lindaonk, whose attention was on another issue argued “You shouldn't have shown someone’s number plate.”
Afia Schwar has had several stints as a radio host with notable radio stations in Ghana, including Happy FM and EIB network’s Kasapa FM.
She also hosted the Kokooko show on Despite Group’s UTV, before leaving to work with Angel TV. Afia Schwar has reportedly taken up a new role at TV Africa.
