Ghana's Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) has apprehended a 26-year-old woman for allegedly attempting to traffic substances suspected to be narcotic drugs into Ghana via the Kotoka International Airport.
According to a report published on Mynewsgh.com, the suspect, identified as Ivy Mugure Daniel, was apprehended while she was going through arrival formalities at Kotoka International on January 9th, 2018.

The suspect, who arrived on-board an Ethiopian Airlines flight, was approached by NACOB officers who took her check-in luggage from her.
A search revealed a 3kg package wrapped in black polystyrene bag containing an off-white powdery substance.
Lab tests carried out by the Ghana Standards Authority on the powdered substances have shown that the substance is speed ball, a combination of cocaine and heroine estimated to have a street value of about $90,000.
During interrogation the suspect is said to have admitted that the luggage was hers. She confessed that she got the substance from her boyfriend - one Mr. Benson - who also bought her the flight ticket.
She revealed that she was to meet her boyfriend in Accra, where he would reclaim possession of the package.
