Mallam Sham Una Ustarz Jibril predicted on Peace FM that John Mahama will be "a major threat to the NPP" in the 2020 elections.

According to him, the former president will be venturing into the 2020 elections with massive revenge.

Although he refused to indicate whether the former president will be winning the 2020 elections, the Islamic Cleric stated that his instincts are still not clear on the matter.

"Mahama will be a threat in the 2020 elections with a new team. In a wise term, they are going for revenge. To further exhibit my spiritual talent, Mahama will be the third person to pick the form but will be the second to submit, and he will declare his intention to contest at the end of March or April,” he revealed in an interview with PeaceFM.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) officially petitioned ex-president Mahama to contest the elections in 2020.

This followed a closed-door meeting by the ten regional chairmen of the party who all signed to approve of John Mahama leading the party.

This means is that John Dramani Mahama could be contesting the elections again.
