YEN.com.gh learnt of the sad news of a robbery attack which took place at the Tema Industrial Area leaving a Lebanese national dead and the robbers bolting with a sum of GHc 200,000.
The robbery which took place around mid-morning on Wednesday follows another armed robbery attack on Royal Motors located at Kwame Nkrumah Circle.
The latest robbery however saw the life of a foreign national being cut short after he was attacked and robbed at gunpoint.
According to reports by Joy FM, the Lebanese, who is believed to be a work of Delta Agro, a soap-making company, was killed minutes after leaving the bank.
The foreigner is reported to have visited the bank to withdraw a sum of GHc 200,000 which was meant to be used to pay workers of the company.
Eyewitnesses who witnessed the shocking incident recounted that the car of the Lebanese man was blocked by the armed robbers who attacked him and made away with his cash withdrawal.
In the latest photos to hit social media, the deceased who is yet to be identified was seen being stretched into an ambulance.
The photos also showed other foreign nationals who were flanked the lifeless body of the Lebanese.
The recent attacks have left the people of the Greater Accra Region and particularly residents of Accra in a state of shock and has struck fear into the minds of many.
A government statement through the Minister of State in charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong, has assured the general populace of maximum security.
He added that there was going to be a deployment of military personnel to compliment the work of the police to ensure that all citizens were protected from such vicious people.
