- Ypee says paying Ghana's 'Highest' $7,000 is not a bother to him
Fast-rising Kumasi-based rapper, Ypee has disclosed that he doled out not less than $7,000 before getting Ghana’s ‘Highest rapper’, Sarkodie to feature on his song, ‘Meye Guy’.
According to the young rapper, Sarkodie demanded the money and insisted on full payment even before moving into the studio.
Speaking to Arnold on ‘VibesIn5’, Ypee indicated that he feels rapper Sarkodie wouldn’t have featured on the song if he was unable to raise $7,000.
"Well, I cannot really disclose the actual amount, but I paid him not less than $7,000 for appearance. I believe Sarkodie is the biggest artiste in Ghana, so paying such huge amount is no big deal," Ypee said.
The young artiste in his conversation indicated that he was not bothered about the amount, since it is great investment into his music career.
The rapper maintained that Sarkodie is undoubtedly the biggest gift God has given to Ghana's music industry.
Ypee's latest song is making waves, and enjoying massive airplay after featuring King Sark.
The music video which features Sarkodie and Medikal is currently trending at #42 on YouTube channel.
The young rapper is also working on a new single with reggae-dancehall artiste, Samini.
