In a spate of about 48 hours Ghana’s capital, Accra has seen three robbery cases involving huge sum of monies.
The latest incident happened at the North Industrial Area in Accra, where Armed men stormed Royal Motors, an automobile company and made away with the company's sales.
On Thursday a man has lost GH¢ 9,000 after robbers snatched the cash he had withdrawn from a bank.
According to an eyewitness report, the money was in a polythene bag when four men on two motorbikes snatched the bag in broad daylight shortly after he walked off the bank premises.
"We were all surprised,” she told Myjoyonline.com.
She added that this is the third of such incident in a week. Last Wednesday, robbers took 4,000 cedis in a similar fashion.
Ghana is currently bedeviled with armed robbery cases, as the police and authorities struggle to curb and prevent the menace.
A Lebanese man was shot dead shortly after he went to withdraw cash from the Bank at the Tema Industrial Area onWednesday morning.
Armed Robbers have also been terrorizing Ghanaians in the homes on a daily basis.
Residents of Hallelujah and surrounding communities in the Kpone-Katamanso District of the Greater Accra Region, Oyibi, Kasoa, Kwabenya, etc say they live in fear following series of attacks perpetrated by notorious robbers.
