One person has been confirmed dead, while 30 people sustained injuries when three church buildings collapsed on believers during a church service in Agona Swedru, in the Central Region.
According to a report by Mynewsgh.com, the incident occurred while the church services - one of which is the Spoken Ministry International Church - were in full swing in the middle of a heavy downpour.
The report has it that the injured were all taken to the Swedru Government Hospital with varying degrees of injuries, some of which were as serious as fractured legs.
According to Oman FM's Joojo Blankson, who visited the Swedru Government Hospital, some of the injured have been relocated to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
The report also states that Sunday's downpour in Swedru also affected the Swedru Circuit Court, which had its roof ripped off due to the gale force.
