Ghana is now an investment hub – President Buhari

The President of Nigeria, Dr Mahammadu Buhari has disclosed that Ghana has now become an attractive destination for foreign investors.

According to President Buhari, many investors are trooping to Ghana under the current leadership of President Akufo-Addo.

Delivering a keynote address at Ghana’s 61st Independent Anniversary celebration on Tuesday, the Nigerian President stated that Ghana has now become a preferred destination for foreign investments compared to many African countries.

Dr Buhari lauded President Akufo-Addo for putting favorable policies in place to direct foreign investment to Ghana.

The Nigerian leader in his address insisted that he was impressed with the establishment of the Office of the Special Prosecutor under the Akufo-Addo administration to tackle corruption in Ghana.

President Buhari also praised the Ghanaian leader for brokering peace among the feuding political parties in neighbouring Togo.

“Permit me to put on record Ghana’s untiring effort in brokering peace in Togo by bringing all the warring factions to the negotiating table,” he said

He further called on all political leaders in Togo to resolve their differences by dialogue.

“I am appealing to all the opposition parties in Togo to please come together to resolve their differences so that Togo will move forward,” President Buhari said.
