Lil Win, Kumawood to create Ghana's very own "Black Panther" movie?

The Akan-language movie industry in Ghana popularly known and referred to by many as Kumawood are noted for recreating viral events and incidents that happen in the country.

In the latest photo seen of popular actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win, it is yet to be ascertained if the movie industry is looking to remake the Ghanaian version of the American movie, 'Black Panther'.

Actor and musician, Lil Win, was seen dressed in what seemed like the skin of a hyena and sported a painted yellow and black face.

The actor also had on some claws which were fixed like gloves on his hands. The comic actor was seen beaming with smiles as he shared the photo on a social media platform.

It would be little wonder if in the coming days, Kumawood comes out with the local version of the blockbuster movie, 'Black Panther', which has been premiered and showed countless times the world over.

The Kumawood movie industry is known to have showcased many talents including teen actor, Clara Benson, known by many as Maame Serwaa, Vivian Jill Lawrence, Nana Ama McBrown, Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Bill Asamoah, Benedicta Gafah and Yaw Dabo.

The industry is responsible for thousands of movies which are chiefly acted in the local Twi dialect.

The industry not too long ago protested against the influx of foreign series into the country. According to the outfit, the series were killing the patronage of the locally-generated content and were they appealing for something to be done about it.

They petitioned the authorities to act so as to ensure that the Ghanaian culture was not lost since they depicted same in most of their movies.
