Unknown woman enjoys a bowl of soup with a straw

Ghana’s 61st Independence Day celebrations, which fell on March 6, 2018 was marked in various ways by Ghanaians all over the country.

Adom FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group, decided to celebrate the special day in a way Ghanaians won’t forget anytime soon.

On that day, they organized a fufu party, to which they extended invitations to all Ghanaians. According to sources, it formed part of their corporate social responsibilities.

Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that people did turn up in their numbers, as thousands trooped to the venue to partake in the fufu festival.

Some were seen holding grinding bowls, popularly referred to as ‘Asanka’.

Among the various scenes that caught YEN.com.gh’s attention was a video of an unknown woman who enjoyed a bowl of soup through a straw.

The act caught the attention of social media users.

Hiplife legend, @reggierockstone wrote: "Enjoy your soup the handsfree way" and @theodore.mensah wondered "How would she eat the meat ?"

In various parts of the country, events were held to commemorate the historic day. Unarguably, one of the most issues was the outfit that second lady, Samira Bawumia settled on for the day.
