- Stonebwoy has finally left Zylofon Music, insider sources have reportedly confirmed
- An announcement is expected to be made soon
Dancehall act, Stonebwoy, has brought his relationship with Zylofon Music to an end, YEN.com.gh understands.
According to reports, Zylofon Media, the parent company of Zylofon Music, will hold a press conference soon to announce the exit of Stonebwoy from the camp.
There have been reports of Stonebwoy being unhappy with happenings at Zylofon but the recent signing of rival Dancehall star, Shatta Wale, is believed to have been the last straw that broke the camel's back.
Information gathered by YEN.com.gh indicates that Stonebwoy is peeved by the fact that Zylofon signed Shatta without informing him.
Stonebwoy, YEN.com.gh, understands, also argued that he was promised by Zylofon that he will represent the label's Dancehall section and, therefore, bringing Shatta Wale on board breaches that part of their contract.
Zylofon also reportedly raised their own concerns saying Stonebwoy had not been promoting the brand as much and he carries himself as if he was still an independent artist.
“A few days ago, Stonebwoy celebrated his birthday and made several donations to the needy in Accra. No Zylofon Music team member was present at any of these donations, a clear indication that the departure has been made official,” GhanaCelebrities.Com quoted a close source as saying.
As if to confirm the termination of their contract, Zylofon Media and its CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah, have all unfollowed Stonebwoy on social media.
