Mark Okraku Mantey, President of Ghana's Creative Arts Council, has tentatively waded in on the on-going controversy between the creative arts company, Zylofon Media, and the artistes it has signed up.

Gone are the days when stakeholders of Ghana's entertainment industry could only say good things about Zylofon Media, and the contribution the company has made to Ghana's entertainment industry.

It appears as though in recent times, more and more in the entertainment industry have begun to express criticism towards the company and it's management for a number of reasons.

One of these voices is the CEO of Slip Entertainment and president of the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry's Creative Council, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey.

Mr. Okraku Mantey recently expressed frustration at the fact that people are still talking about Zylofon Media, and asked if Ghanaians are not tired of talking about the company.

Speaking on Joy FM's Showbiz A-Z, Mark Okraku Mantey expressed that, apart from money, he cannot see what the company has brought to the table.

Where is the substance that Zylofon is selling to us?

“If you say that you are selling a product, the product itself must be good before you can add the promotion to get the final consumption,” he said.

Mr. Okraku Mantey went on to wonder what artiste's signed up to Zylofon Media have been able to achieve since they signed up to the entertainment giant.

"I think we should be getting answers to some of those questions instead of every time Zylofon launching this or that cash thing," he said.

The Slip Entertainment boss went on to say that, according to him, Zylofon Media has the funds, but definitely does not have the "foundation" to follow through with its vision, and also criticized the company's Head of Communications' strategy.
