Over the weekend, news went viral that dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy had a fracas with his "former" record label, Zylofon Music.
The issue was reportedly being kept under control by Zylofon for sometime now, but was uncovered following a clash between Stonevbwoy and a gang allegedly led by Bulldog.
According to reports, the ‘Baafira’ hitmaker had displayed gross misconduct and insubordination at Zylofon, and this put his contract in jeopardy.
He is said to be bitter since Shatta Wale, his “best enemy” joined the record label sometime this year.
Therefore, battling with feelings of insecurity, inferiority, because of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy started “misbehaving” at Zylofon.
Even though Stonebwoy had claimed to have performed at Legon on Saturday night prior to his attack at Champs Bar, eye witnesses accounts suggest that Stonebwoy told a lie.
He was said to have ordered all banners of Zylofon Media to be pulled down during the ‘Artiste Night’ at the Dr. Hilla Limman Hall at the University of Ghana.
His action caused confusion at the event, and consequently put the event partly organized by Zylofon in jeopardy.
Stonebwoy was said to be attacked at the Champs Bar and Grill at the Paloma Hotel in Accra where he had gone with some friends for a hangout.
While there, a group of “macho men” had stormed the place to retrieve Stonebwoy’s car, a Mercedes Benz, which was given him by Zylofon as part of his package when he was signed onto the record label in June 2017.
Stonebwoy had narrated that he had sent his younger brother to get him something from his car when the Bulldog-gang attacked him, hitting him on the lips.
This prompted Stonebwoy and his security guards including his manager, Black Cedi, to rush to the scene.
He allegedly fired gunshots, which he later claimed was for “self defense.”
The attackers, however, could not take the car away.
Interestingly, hours after the incident, Bulldog, the artiste manager at Zylofon has denied the allegation that he had led a gang to attack Stonebwoy.
In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on a popular Instagram page, Nkonkosagh, Bulldog said he was not even at the scene, adding that he was later attacked by Stonebwoy and his men.
Bulldog’s assertion seems to have gotten on the nerves of some Stonebwoy fans, and they have not spared him at all.
